Pastor Jeff Hancock Pastor Jeff Hancock is the Senior pastor at Ash Avenue. He comes to us from Meridian, Mississippi, and has been faithfully in full time ministry since 1992. He, along with his wife, Lisa, and three boys, Josh, Caleb, and Noah, have been serving at Ash Avenue Church of God since 2008. He is on mission with God, urging us to know that the most important thing is having a love-relationsip with God! "Relationship, relationship, relationship!!"
With the Christmas season comes all the various traditions we keep in celebrating the birth of Christ. Some of them are really good -- others don't really have a lot to do with Jesus at all. The best way you can celebrate the coming of Jesus is to respond to His coming by entering into a real personal relationship with Him. Surrender your life to Him, ask Him to forgive you and become the Leader of your life. Then live each day with Him leading you. Make the time to be with Him in His Word (the Bible) and talk with Him and listen for His still, small voice (prayer). Follow Him by living the kind of life that would honor Him in everything you do and don't do. Celebrate the New Life He died to give you by living each day in step with His Spirit.
